Anyone familiar with the anti theft (immo) on this model. Vehicle is from Canada (KPH) and I am looking to convert it to MPH. I already have another instrument cluster from a local recycler but it won't start with it in the vehicle. I was thinking of taking the needles off and swapping the overlay however I can't figure out the digital odometer, it won't go to miles, however you can change the center display to Miles or KM. What is the easiest way to solve my problem?

Hopefully will get to that later today, I appreciate the help. Now here is to hoping the EEPROM is on the back of the board so I don't have to deal with needles

Negative on the EEPROM swap. I swapped over the EEPROM from the Original to the recycler instrument cluster and the vehicle is now a no start and the display is now in KM. I might be able to make this work if someone knows which byte controls weather miles or km is read out on the LCD display
clusters

Put the original eeprom back in the MPH cluster, then post in the Immo forum on how to reprogram the Immo for a dash swap.

Really not any hardware I have access to currently. I know I can pull the needle and swap the overlay, that just leaves me with figuring out which byte controls weather KM or miles is displayed on the LCD, I know the original cluster without the EEPROM soldered on displays ERROR, but it says miles and not KM, so maybe I am looking for a byte that is added instead of FF

I did one of them clusters an few months back. Customer bring me km cluster and ori on the car was milles. I swapped the flash because at that time i thought miles are in flash so i swapped the flash and still milles. Then eep and job done. What eep you have on your clusters??

Thought they could be interchanged? Because the mileage did move over and display when I moved the EEPROM over.

Then move the flash also....and that should work with no prob

Well aside from moving the flash it would be much easier to disassemble both and just switch the overlays/faces

And what you gone do with the digital display?

Success, moved the MPH overlay onto the original circuit board, removed the KPH EEPROM and installed the MPH EEPROM from the wrecking yard cluster and programmed the mileage. The center display can be changed in the preferences from metric to US it was the right display that changed with the EEPROM. Job complete and the customer is happy
