Somebody took the wheel off to check the clock spring and turned the steering angle sensor more than 850 degrees so it is now stuck at 850. I have seen some people remove that code from dump and steering sensor worked after that fine. There is no problem with the sensor.

Thanx, after writing back I scan it has a same code, and still have 850 degrees stuck.

Any other Ideas?

My last guess would be to also clear out the data in line A0 after the 2 bytes "aa 5a"

With original dump it is always showing 850.5 degrees. Even when it is straight at 0 degrees. Toyota sensors have a specific range, if exceeded that range the sensor writes error code inside eeprom and stops working. When the sensor is connected in the car and somebody is checking if the clockspring is good, they go over the range with a good clockspring killing the sensor.

Hi, Clockspring max turn on toyota usually around 900 degrees one way.
Steering angle sensor max turn is less than 850 degrees. that is where the problem starts.

Weird...I never done a prius one before but I did a 14 camry and a lexus and both had a 24c02
Would of never figure a prius is so advance on a SAS sensor lol.

have you actually fixed the lexus I have got 2013 lexus rx350 with sas internal code and stuck at 840 doesnt move,, is there any solution is the chip in the clock spring,, never hve done these ones

assemble the steering.

Here are the files that i have. I dont know why but sometimes I have to edit the corrupted file because the one I have that works doesn't. For example Here in Argentina The Hilux Pickup (Known as VIRGIN in the US) has the 89245-0k010 and the Hilux SW4 SUV has the same angle sensor, but i got error using the file that i use with the Hilux Pickup and had to fix the one that i read from the SW4 in order to make it work.

Sharing my knowledge for free and happy to help anyone, please share yours!

Are there still persons on this thread who assist with resetting steering angle issue? I'm currently in the situation where my angle sensor is stuck at 850.5.

I actually do not know what dump the other guys are talking about or where they got the dump. But if anyone reads this and could instruct me on what to do, I'd be super grateful as nothing I try in techstream allows me to reset or relearn the steering angle
