Hi,
Does anyone know what are the options for programming a new dealer key to a 2008 Audi A6. This is a spare key, we have a working key.
I have the pin code from the engine ECU. The ecu accepts the pin code but I cannot log in to the Kessy with vcds.
Thanks

No, the car is definitely standard. Everything is original.
When I try Security access in Kessy it says Controller refused to send seed. Error 22 Sequence Error

You can not do this car with VCDS.
Need to have advance tool, VVDI , AVDI can do it .

You need to have 6 bytes CS and PIN to make dealer key and learn it. Made A6 05 today all key lost.

You will need 868mhz.
Or get something like this: RKE audi A6L Q7 3 button remote chip 8E 2005-2010 (google)

Ive heard about 8e chips, i am in us market, i believe they are 433mhz. Can you virginize a used one or remove the used transponder and put in an 8E?

The emergency key holds a glass 8e transponder.
The flipkeys have a electronic chip, inbedded in the circuit.
The remote will work as soon you program this key.
Make sure you have the correct part number!

A used remote key can be reset, if you have the ezs dump file with it.
A 8E is only for emergency start.
There is no 8e in a remote key!
Only the aftermarket Chinese remote kits work that way.
