key cut code Citroen

I have 2 used Citroen cars (Xsara Picasso 1.6 petrol of 2009 and C3 1.4 petrol 1st series of 2009) and in none of the 2 I was given the code to cut the key. is it possible to trace the code via VIN? Or in some other way?

you have a number of options open to you ;

1) pay an auto locksmith to decode these locks for you

2) buy the key codes from a code broker , dealer or supplier from the vin number

3) buy and learn to use the relevent lishi 2in1 pick and decoders ;
a) the C3 2009 will be the VA2T pick and decoder , all cuts are in the door , so pick and decode
b) the xsara picasso will be the sx9 pick and decoder , but as this model is likely to have the side cuts the tool will only pick and decode the ignition , you can then strip the door lock down to read the side cut values .

4) remove and strip down the locks to decode

5) if the car already has a key then trace the blade or site read the key by eye
