DM500c went death.....................

i got a dm500c cone went death couples of week ago. Try using dreamup, no use.
I got the null cable thru usb to my pc. My pc can detect com10 for my new driver for my dreambox. But the dreamup cannot detect anything at all...

Hi mate open dreamup then plug in dreambox, if that dont work plug in and out the box several times keep your eye on the programme also what version of dreamup you using try the one below

Did you buy it for Cable or Satellite?

Sounds like a DM500s.. the satellite version.of a DM500

They mean OS as in Win xp/vista, the OS you're using on your pc when runing dreamup.... an image is an os for the DM500

i'm using XP... Use the dreamup link given.. no hope... My in dm500c

Does it say DM500c on the front of it... because if it says "DISEqc1.2" on startup then that usually means the image is picking up a Sat tuner.

Just try different versions of Dreamup and are you doing it right when connecting it to pc? it has to be switched off, then when dreamup tells you to switch on, then you switch on?

Try to find a pc with serial port usb adapters are shite. Have you tryed switching on and off the power on the box is the light on the fronth on led light have you tryed to get into the box via ftp using dcc also linked on my siggy

If u use direct connection to pc, u need to use ethernet crossover cable and normal ethernet cable only thru yr router.
