That is why i ask for picture. Fyi blackbox is basicly dm500c.The only different is the casing. Theres another type which China factory own produce call 500cII,this box dont have ethernet port.And this box you cant use dreamup.

Look at his last post carefully, he mentions his other box(blackbox) is working and he uses Null moden and ethernet(he calls it internet) to get it up and running. He then goes on to say.. "but this problem box only has Null modem". and he has already posted a pic of that box on page 1.. Hes not talking about his Blackbox as the problem box, he's only mentioning it as a means of how he has another box that he gets woking fine with no probs

You can update thru null modem cable & internet cable for the blackbox does not mean you can do the same to the other box, your so-called DM500C. I have said this many many time, due to high demand of DM500C, some china supplier are re-naming their box to DM500C to confuse people into buying them.

Be it the problem box (your so-called DM500C) have or dun have the ethernet port, it will still not response to dreamup b'cos it is not a dreambox.

Hope you understand this, both box are using different mainboard, processor & OS. Just like you are flashing Apple iOS for ipad into Samsumg Galaxy Tab or sync-ing a galaxy tab using iTune.

my set is in working condition... i have the other blackbox500, cardless now. can use and update thru null and internet cable.
But i did try the dreamup on this problem set, nothing happen at all, maybe it does not have the internet input hole... so just the null cable itself doesn't work.....

You do not have any control over your box therefore beside updating of keys using remote, I do not think you can access any other updates.

Not easy to identify by looking at the front cover, as they can look almost identical
Best way to find out if you are using the real stuff if from the rear view:

Are you referring to DM500HD? You saw it on net?

If yes, please note this model only have dvb-s, no dvb-c yet.

My source now trying to clone this box & do it with dvb-c but no ready.
