Hi bros,
I am using the Fy HD800c.
I am encountering the local free channel is very poor signal?
Just happen for past few days after using for 6 months.

Any advice?
I tried to re scan over and over again but didn't help.
Need your guys to help.

Typical FY800C problem. Its a Hardware issue. I will happen on some chinese chn too. Send to yr dealer for repair. No SW/FW can solve this.

It happens on my player as well for 800c-ii. I hope there is a firmware that solves this problem.

I still dunno what is the difference between 800c and 800c-ii ? Which is the latest model ?

Try not to buy 800C-II, its different from what most of us are using now. You may think 800C-II is better than 800C.
Its a different brand and model altogether. The firmware used is also different.
The Chinese Supplier in China keeps pushing you to buy and tell you its the latest model, best selling etc.

Always go for the Dreambox 800HD-C. The 800C-II you talking about is call FY800HD-C II ( See Below Pic)
To reassure, always ask them to send you a picture before you buy.

From the name & looks u should know the difference as DB traitor mention it's not what we use here in SG.
For info ours is Dream Multimedia before u get anything google 1st for spec & difference

Favourite channel option not working

Is there any way I can fix in FYHD 800-C II. I cannot setup my favourite channel list. Also, channel information display and disappear in split seconds. Experts, need ur advise

There are more chn missing. You must be using WangKa. There is a bug in their software they cant resolve. Use a FunCard or Atmega88, the problem will be solved.

After u unzip, look for the latest.AP file. thats all. Name the file to FY.AP so the box can recognise. ( clik property to see the date created)

FYHD800Cii hving the same problems and the lower tuner quality is installed. I tested the sets and found them to be unsatisfactory unless they can do some thing about it.

Another History lesson. To set up a factory in CN, you dont need full-time Engineers or Developers. You need very Good PROs ( I beg your pardon, Public Relation Officers). You can source for designs/products in the Free-Lance market ( here Sg, hving copyright here n there, we call them Franchising) and select the design/product you wish to produce. Once produce, any bugs or problems, it piece meal basis whether the designer/developer hv the ability/responsibility to solve them. Mostly the designer/developer vanished with the initial payment. This happening all over China..
My humble empathy to those who bot this box.

I too was employing "Consultants" who actually are just ad-Hoc Problem solver in my Pig Farm in Cn. Now Hunan is flooded, I may hv to go back Cn this week to see my Porky Pigs and Petunias. Kermik is happy now that there r water.

I use this box, it's not too bad just buggy at times. I.e. EPG skips a few days without warning, some synopsis doesn't appear.

Buttons also not very user friendly, the screen could say 'yellow' but it really means green. Crap like that.

Recording, however, is a breeze. I'm on an old April firmware now and am thinking of changing.

Can't seem to find the original website though, since some of you are saying the latest firmware from February isn't so stable?

I found the website a few months ago but it seems to have disappeared. Either that or I remembered the wrong URL but google can't really help here either..
