    500CII poor quality

Hi im a newbie using above dream box. The picture and sound quality all of a sudden became poor, with garbled sounds and pixelated images... any help is appreciated. I can view all channels though, and it only started today, has been fine before.

Have you try to set the picture mode to PAL?If yes than i suspect image going to be coruppted. I m not sure theres any firmware in local market to flash for this model unless the factory in China provide you.

Check for any loose antenna connection may solve the problem. Mine is worst which lost all the FTA channels. Could be a hardware problem and still looking for a solution.

When picture started to get garbed, it is an indicator of tuner is overheated and its internal circuitry may be permanently damaged.

Few earlier batch of HQK3388/DM900C-II/DM500C used to suffer same issue, and I removed the motherboards and sent back for RMA, usually FOC repair in the first year.

If its not tuner issue, perhaps u could check your antenna connection.

Hi, I have similar experience. I bought the DM500 CII and found that it's not what i want. It just a DM900C with DM500 casing. Then i replaced it with the supplier with true DM500C (with erthenet port and digital optic output), then all channels become clear. So better replace it.
