    dead dreambox?

    hi all,

dreambox looks like its given up on me. froze on me ...as it does sometimes...I pulled out the power but when I put i back in..nothing!! I have the light on the power adapter and I can see a red light come on inside the dreambox but no lights on the front of the dreambox.
    Anyone else experienced this one?

    cheers

you say no light on the front?

    have you tried a reflash?
does it still have the original power cable? as these can fail easily

      thanks for the reply

thats right no lights on the front! I thought the lights would normally still come on if I just needed to reflash?
Haven tried a reflash yet as I need to dig out the old pc to use the serial cable and dreamup.
I do still have the original power cable...it is an original breambox one from a couple of years ago..but the light is on on the adapter

        Shagged

If a reflash doesn't work then it may very well be shagged!
Does it have a screw fit tuner or push?
If its dead let me know as I am looking for a scrap box to butcher the tuner out of it...
