Got a mount set up but quality is BAD DM500-C

I've succesfully created a mount on my PC to be able to record stuff from my DM500-C, but the quality is TERRIBLE... It's ok for a couple of seconds, then freezes audio and video for a couple of seconds, at best i get 5 seconds without an error.

I'm using DK1.1, EvoCamd 2.12, recording via web interface, and playback is the same wether played back on my PC or the dreambox.

If anyone can throw any pointers my way i'd be well happy, i'd love to get this finished off.. took a bit of a learning curve to get this far

Try recordin for an good bit maybe an hour or so.

If you record short it does have a bit of a problem.

Also if you are downloading or using the net at the same time the streaming can be disturbed.

I have had no problems except from cutting out after a few minutes.

Try converting a movie to mpeg 2 and using that on ur playback. This will test its efficiency.

    hope this helps.

tried everything , still no joy... Got a 100Mb network and a beefy computer.. god knows wassup. Might try getting hold of a ethernet cross over cable over the weekend, just to make sure my router aint the problem but i'm on the verge of giving up with it .

Are you recording over wireless? Sometimes this can cause problems.

Neutrino images are better at recording than enigma (DK v1.1).

I use WinGrabZ to record programs, then convert them to dvd and burn them, the quality is brilliant even through a wireless connection. But i dont know how to stream the program back through the DB from my laptop but that doesnt bother me to much.
P.S If anyone has any instructions for WinGrabZ i would be grateful, not sure what some of the settings are, it didnt come with any instructions.
