Newbie need your help with DM800-C to be able to view on starhub!!!

Hi to all.As i have just bought the DM800-C, I would like to ask for someone who can help me by giving me step by step on what must I do in order to get to view starhub cable vision on my dreambox 800c? I have look all over the forum,but still dun get it and it here do not have the keys for the CAM or the image for me to flash.

SO I BEG ANYONE TO HELP ME.pls PM me the instruction,tks in adv.

Hi,i got my box and it has the box was installed with mgcamd 1.35a.I am able to received most of the channels,except for NHK World.Is it that i have to downgrade to mgcamd 1.31 in order to get al the channels including the HD channels?

i was unable to flash .img files!!!Any idea why it doesn't works?Tks

If you get new image(800) from download section it should be nfi files. You cant use 500 image for your dm800.

If some channel missing,you just need to do auto scan and disable clear channel to get the missing channel.

i have more questions. what is the username password for that pli jade images for telnet and ftp. and why suddenly setup menu asks for the pin. what is the value for the pin? or did i screw up? anyway to fix it? pls pm if anybody knows the puzzle i am going through. thanks!

Hi digitalkaosmember,
By default user:ROOT pw: DREAMBOX
Now firstly where you got your image from?

Suddenly?? Meaning when just swicth ON the box ask for setup pin? Off and ON again the msg asking for setup pin will dissapear.

(Setup pin) You can ask from the guy who do the image.

Method to unlock setup pin.

Switch on the box>Rca cable to tv>plug out the antenna wire.

Go to menu>setup>system setting>Parental lock>untick Setup lock.

When you can access in, this you can change adjust alot of thing example change picture configuration,OSD setting,default channel and etc etc...
