Stuck for a year

Ive not had my DM500C working for over a year now and ive tried many times. I used to have neutrino image and it was working fine and then sometime last year they changed some nagrarom files? and my box stopped working. Since then no matter what ive done has got it back working.

Today, i reflashed my box with DK image, i put the keys into var/keys and i put the .bins in /var/scce and reboot.

I put ss1 on for half an hour and nothing. I get all FTA channels only and this is all ive had for a year with the neutrino image.

Any ideas anyone

you need to do var/keys = keys
/var/bin/emu = cams
try my working image

You don't want this site to get into trouble do you? Upload that on rapidshare, not onto dk. All images on here should be FTA only.

Go to Sky Sports 1.
Hold INFO for about 3 secs, you should see the EMU Manager.
Press OK to restart.
Then press MENU > Shutdown > Reboot Now
When it reboots, flick to sky sports 2, wait 5 secs then flick back to sky sports 2.
IF you have the most up to date files in /var/keys and /var/scce then the channel should come on after about 10 secs.

Over the past year ive spent many weekends doing everything to get the boxes working and that reboot thing has just sorted it. Mr devilfish, not for the 1st time, thanks. Im kind of gutted that it seemed so simple. Ive rebooted cam and the box loads and re flashed loads of images and always the same result, so when it worked I was shocked.

Whats strange is that both my boxes did the same IE not work until I did what you just said - anyone have any idea why my boxes need this and others just seem to start working when being on SS1 for a few minutes? Both the boxes r original DM according to Devilfish's dreambox guide which i read.

ok, bare with me , i know this isnt what the more evolved members would suggest so i will ' why not backup the whole image using the box that works fine with dreamup,then flash the boxes that dont with the new whole image file all through the null modem cable 'flash ,
Dont flash erase . should work fine

I don't see why this wouldn't work, I used to dump back up images from one psp to another, also works on the wii if some one needs a nand back up to hack with on triforce.

If anyone gives heatblasts psot a go let us know, then we can start sharing backups with friends having trouble with there boxes.
