    ip address

    sorry guys i am totaly lost the ip address on my box is 10.0.0.97 not like the guide . my connection keeps go down so i cant get into my files . what am i do wrong

    go to (usually) menu > setup > expert setup> communication setup and change your ip to whatever you want

      To keep things simple I'd just tick the box for DHCP and let your box acquire it's own IP from the PC, then alter the IP address within Flash FXP to the new IP address.

      (after u tick DHCP and save changes in the box you need to restart it)

        This is presuming that there is a DCHP server on the network, Or a DHCP server installed on his pc, Why not give the dream box a static IP of 192.168.1.1 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and the pc 192.168.1.2 and same mask, gateway is not needed unless there is a router on the network, and in that case there would be DHCP running.
