DM500 Thinking of getting a DM500C

Hi i havent had one of these since N3 came ito play. Can someone steer me in right direction with the following?

Best image - where to find it
Files with auto roll etc - again where to get them

How often does the box need updating?
I take it an internet connection is required?
Will these work using a clone?

Whats open at the moment?

These are obsolete. There is people sharing them but has not been released and probably never will after what happened the last time round.
