        I also heard that it kills clones.

        No need to JTAG though, a reflash should cure it if you have used this bootloader on a clone.

          What cam you using on your 800.

          I found mgcam was the only one i could get to au but the box would freeze every few minutes. Change the channel then back would get it going again.

          Managed to get evocamd to work and its been freeze free since.

            I've read that for clones, you can flash any image on. If it has bootloader 70, some won't reboot and report CA error. However you can then flash just bootloader 69 onto the box and the image should then work.

            Found it here:-

                  yep my 800 is working great but not how it should, i have no keylist.txt file (it wont update)

                  however mgcamd will decrypt, and find the key, but suffers from pausing so when keys roll I switch to mgcamd once its done its work i switch back to the latest evocamd and its as smooth as a kashmirian cod piece

                    You can create a Keylist.txt file on your PC (note the capital K) and simply ftp it to your receiver, that should be enough for it to update.

                    Also make sure that the camd_cfg file is set to AU.

                    Code:
                    # AU
                    #    00 is ignored (default)
                    #    01 enable AU
                    #    02 AU Auto
                    A: { 02 }

                      #    02 AU Auto

                      To get my 800 working and auto-update, I have to set

                      A: { 01 }

                      Any other setting and I need to put keys in manually

                              The first one wouldn't work on clones, maybe this one does...???
