Help needed D500c and PLi image...

Hi, hopefully someone can help me. I have just updated my D500C to PLi Jade image using this thread

I have followed the instructions and updated channels (which seemed to work as I had a nice list of them appear) however when I try the online key update it says 0kb file?

After reboot I get nothing on any channel, also I cannot access the setup screen as its pin locked. Any help greatly appreciated guys. Is there another image thats better?

there is no need to access setup. The box is locked with password to protect the image and host.
Yes, the key file is very small in size and it downloads in less than a second, so fast that you thought nothing happens.
I suggest you first plug in your ethernet cable from the router to your box. Then power on your dreambox. Wait for a while for the router to recognise it. Then press yellow button and do a update for keys first.. then update channels second. Hopefully it helps

When you do online update of key, if download is sucessful, it will auto quick reboot.

Try to see if you can watch those FTA channels. If cannot then something is not right. You might not be having cable signal feeding.

I'm new to this forum. Lately i found that many channels can no longer be viewed. Is there any new key available?

I am using BLACK 888 and not able to watch other channel.

Yes i also experience the same problem. I got a DM500 from a supplier at a rip off price and less than a mth the keys have been changed. Anyone can give me the new key?

help guys, seniors... i tried uploading the flash but got a error msg..." Aborted by user, Exiting'... i did not interrupt the loading in anyway but could it because i flash-erased it earlier?? anyone please advise?

Ok, thanks for all the tips. I'm still having problems though and have some questions. Hopefully I can work this out to find out where i'm going wrong. I have reflashed box done the online keys 1st then the channels and still nothing, these things are niggling me though.

1.Are the channels supposed to appear i.e. normal UK cable channels, BBC1 etc $ky $sports etc? all I see after the channel download are a load of channels that I would never normally get i.e. Star Gold, Sony Entertainment Television, Supersports Plus. These are non UK channels so I would not be able to get the feeds for them from my cable supplier anyway. As setup cannot be accessed I cannot do a channel scan as I normally would, is this the problem????

2. I am getting a feed as I swapped my box back to my other starview box and got all FTA after scanning, when i plug the Dreambox in I can see I am getting a cable feed the top bar changes between 81% while the bottom one stays at 48%.

Please help, i'm stumped and do not want this to beat me....cheers everyone!!

1.Are the channels supposed to appear i.e. normal UK cable channels, BBC1 etc $ky $sports etc? all I see after the channel download are a load of channels that I would never normally get i.e. Star Gold, Sony Entertainment Television, Supersports Plus. These are non UK channels so I would not be able to get the feeds for them from my cable supplier anyway. As setup cannot be accessed I cannot do a channel scan as I normally would, is this the problem????

I think I just worked out the answer to my own question, this image will only work in Singapore! *slaps hand to forehead* sorry for messing around guys (however this is not made totally clear).

Oh well looks like my box is still a doorstop........

yes dont bin your c boxes, they are useable, and much better than kv and sv.
