What happened in the UK a few weeks ago is now happening in Ireland.

If you're box is down or only getting FTA, try the fix that was released for the UK. All fixes and firmwares are here, check the download section and the forums.

Regarding dreambox and dbox2 (for cable, not sure about chorus or mmds) the new roms (rom7, 10 & 11) will work on cable so try that.

Exact same thing happened to us, all channels blacked out apart from those mentioned above.

Don't think our box is connected to the router, just straight to the cable. Bah

I followed the guide above posted by Ricketts. However I cant seem to get the Dreambox to appear on the 'attached devices' list on my wireless router. Do you have to connect to connect the box (d500) to the router with a crossover cable? or should a patch work?

                    Cheers

if u want to ftp new roms u`ll have to use the crossover cable.get it in maplins or pc world. Also make sure that the ip ur pc is one less than ur box ip.

Thanks for the information guys. I hope to apply it later in the day and come back with another confirmation of it's success.

I actually didnt read mubs' guide but if you give your dreambox an ip of + 1 of your pc ip (eg pc is 192.168.1.2 mask 255.255.255.0) and the dreambox 192.168.1.3 mask 255.255.255.0 you should be able to connect both to your router using wireless/ a normal cable then telnet from the pc to the dream using

ftp (get ftpsoft ftpcommander its free) and add server 192.168.1.3 username root password dreambox etc.
