    WEBFACE ACCESS PROBLEMS

    OK GUYS.
so I havent had any problems before but I use the web interface for the dreambox alot to change channels while on tour its a heaven send.

I have a problem though because since reflashing the box and starting from scratch I cant acess the web interface. I have read the guide on connecting the box to the net. and I have been able to access the web interface by hitting the dreambox's 1p at home. But not remotley when Im not on my network...

can someone guide me through where Im going wrong.

I have set everything up fine so my router is speaking outside the network.

My PS3, PSP and Location Free Player are using up ports 80, 8080, 5022, 9293

DHCP is enabled and the Gateway ip on my box is set as the routers ip
do I need to change the name server?

HELP. I have under 4 hours to get it resolved or life for the next 2 weeks will be hell

Do you have it set to port 80 for the interface and have tick in http authentication?

I think you need to check that you are using the same ip address as before.. but if can access it with the house that should not be the issue.

Do you use a router/switch at home. have you got the ip address forwarded in that?

That's what I was going to suggest...is the dreambox ip address the same as before? If not, you'll need to change the forwarding settings on the router.

port is set as 80 but wont let me set it on my routers interface cause the location free player needs that port. same on the communication setup on the db. Can I use any other ports?

        db has ip 192.168.1.100
        netmask 255.255.255.0
        type LAN
        nameserver 192.168.4.100
        Gateway 192.168.1.254
        Port 80

        ticks in DHCP, Enable Network

        am I missing something?

db ip address is on a differnt segment to the nameserver, i am sure they should both be on i.e 192.168.1.***

my gateway and nameserver are the same mate 192.168.1.1 which is the ip adress of my router/switch.

my dm is 192.168.1.5 (on fixed ip though, but that does not matter)

              Not sure about another port.

I leave my nameserver bit blank and it get's filled in automatically after ticking DHCP and rebooting. It's nowhere near the same ip address as the router.

good question. you can only have one device going out on http 80 (on old my netgear).

Am not sure, was peeing about to get my xbmc going out as well but, my router has just locked me out so i can't check it right now

I can't remember what file holds the ports on the dreambox. I'm sure it's in /etc anyway and you can't change anything in there.

You can test by using your modems ip in your browser to see if the web interface comes up.
