oh please dont do a factory rest,it screwed me up for months,i spent ages going backwards and forwards,from forum to forum,downloading soooo much and it not working,it drives ya round the twist,its a good way of learning but if ya dont have to,please dont do it.everything goes on a factory reset,

A factory reset will put the box back to a state as if it's just been flashed.

If the image didn't come with any keys or roms, then you will loose these.

You will also loose you services and bouquets.

Factory reset

I have managed to stuff my services file in ect/services. There is a service file in there but it is full of transponders instead of port numbers.
It must of happened whilst using DCC.
The result is that i can not FTP anything across or connect any FTP program's.

If i do a factory reset will this reset all these config files so i can atleast use DCC.
I know i'll lose all my sat's/bouquets etc, but i have all that backed up.

well i found it very easy. factory resetted it and placed the keys and scce again thru flash net and whoa........ everything sorted out. thanks devilfish, without you i w'ld be lost.

As i saw your previous post your box is dm900?If so get your friend box same model and flash it to your box.
