DM800 Need help please - Newbie

Hi Walkinmyshadow,

Have you installed the dreamup using a null modem cable?
or alternatively what steps have you taken files, cams and emu have you used?

Do not want to be cheeky, but i have been busting a gut trying to get my DM800 sorted
out with firmware EMU cams etc.

I would be gratefull if you could let me know how you got your DM800 as you describe.

I have a Dreambox DM800 HD PVR.

I have not installed dreamup on it because there was already a linux operating system already installed.
I have put the cables.xml file on it and have most of the FTA channels on it.
I have Enigma2 and Gemini2 on it. Do not realy know what to do next.
Devilfish says i need an EMU but cannot seem to install this using Blue Panel,
So that is as far as i have got, It's been a right pain.

why can you not use the blue button what is going on what message do you get you have to have the box on a net work for it to work

I have ftp'd the file to tmp folder on the DBox. I have selected Blue Button which has given me Blue Panel CAMD common interfaces menu. select option 2 addons.
manual install, there are two options Addons (tar.bz2 / tar.gz), and ipkg Packages (ipk).

I cannot see e2-evocamd_21.7* so its possibly in the wrong directory or something up with Blue Panel?

ok m8 if your using gemini and you can link your box to a router then you can use the gemini server and when you go to addons pick the gemini server this will then give you a new menu think its emu at the top when your in it so click it then download evocam from there menu

with enigma you need to go :
blue button
addons
Gemini server
cam
mgcamd 1.31 -complete

then FTP from your computer to your box into the SCCE folder location /usr the

nagrarom7.bin
nagraram7.bin
nagraepr7.bin

and The Keys folder to /usr

then turn to sky sports 1 and press the blue button and press the right button and you will see it says mgcamd 1.31

press the green button and hey presto after about 10 seconds all channels clear

if you want a zip file with all the file/folder you need to ftp to /usr just PM me

Hi 2tone, Starting to get somewhere now m8, i have downloaded evocam2.
I have now selected restart as per Devilfish's instructions from an earlier thread.

Any other pointers from here will be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Jbennett, OK point taken,, got a bit excited seing evocamd, can i just install MgCamd 1.31 - complete over the evocamd? or does the evocamd require uninstalling?

you can have one of each evocamd,mgcamd,cccam,scam,etc on the image dont have to uninstall

worked for me when i used it on an 800

if you have the cams on it now m8 and have all the key files and sccc files in the right place and making sure you have the new roms in then you should be able to see tv
