A stupid question

My folks VCR has finally packed up and they are wanting to replace it. They have a digital set top box and get a good signal. Would a Dreambox 600 pvr fit the bill? That is will it still do all the fta channels and record as well.

its all i use mate, shoved a 250gig disk in and sorted.
