DM500 Missing Channels

Can anybody help!

I have lost sultana sports, LTV etc. I have rescanned in every possible way that I can think of - using the correct frequency and symbol rate for my area.

Some have suggested that bics channels 11-20 should be used, but my scans only retrieve bics 1-10.

I was wondering if it is possible to manually add these channels as neither the manual scan or automatic ones have given any joy!

do you still have these channels but with no picture?

if you do try deleting them from your bouqet and all services then re scanning again !! hopefully this will work for you if not I know a lot of people are having problems with this and im sure there is a solution somewhere in thius forum.

Thanks for the swift reply. All the channels are deleted and the scan does not pick up the new channels.

I've been trawling the forums for the last couple of weeks, solutions that seem to work for others have given no joy.

what is your signal rate on the channels you are having p[robz with

Seems to be a growing problem this. Could it be part of VM way of blocking channels? I find this happens to me every few days for no reason. If I do a scan the channels are not found. The only way I get over it is I have a backup of my Bouquet file so I just restore the file to the box and everything ok again.
When I lose the channels it seems to make all the other channels breakup as if reception is bad untill I do a re-scan. Do you have this problem?

I can't even find the channels on a scan, let alone get a signal rate.

I was asking in my original query, if anyone knew of a way to manually add channels (even if a scan does not pick them up).

No probs like that Studulike. The channels I have are OK, just the Sultana, LTV etc not appearing whatever type of scan I perform.

what area and what provider r u and maybe I can help with the manual info?

Hi Davemac82,

My area is Swansea - Freq 755, Symrate 6.887. I have obviously tried these (and meny others ;-) ) in a manual scan - but with no results.
