The main dreambox is a DM500. The other is a DM600-PVR.

Depends what you want, the DM500 is about ?90 to buy and the DM600-PVR is about ?200. The 600 is the better box as it can have a hdd and the tuner is better but they 500 will to the same job just fine.

There is a discount here if you're looking to save a few bucks.

Digital-Kaos is pleased to announce that we have a discount code for a certain online shop if you are looking to buy a linux receiver similar to the dreambox. --------------------------------------------- BuyingThings.co.uk (http://www.buyingthings.co.uk/shop/?a_aid=52d01a63&a_bid=86e07af0) Code: digital-kaos Discount:

If you buy a Dm500, it will definitely be a fake! Dream stopped producing the Dm500 about 18 months ago.

In any case, the clones these days are better than the originals. The tuners are stronger and screw in type.

I have bought from both websites that have adverts on here and they were both top quality receivers.

I'm not a fan of the 'tv only' boxes. I like to have the option of playing with the image and having control over what I can do.

The dreamboxes do have parental control, yes.
