DM800 Channel help

Hi i am new to this so just a point in the right direction would be great.

I have got a dreambox DM800 HD and i am connecting via VirginMedia internet cable, Have followed the start up wizard but when trying to scan for channels, it does not pick any up.

Where do i go from here do i need to subscribe to a ccam or load something on to the box in order to recieve channels?

Being new sucks any help would nice.

Do you get free channels, if so you just need a sever to get all the scrambled ones to clear.
