    DM500 DM500C slowdown

    I am total newbie with all these and have been using my DM500C straight out of the box my friend gave me. I have started looking at it now because of some problems. It has a setup pin so I cannot do configuration.

    Lately its reponse has been very sluggish taking several seconds to respond to each remote key press.

    I have to totally remove the power (not just standby) for it to get fixed but the problem returns a couple of days later.

    Thinking of flashing it with a new image (can't be hardware as the problem goes away after restart, so most likely software memory leak, buffer full or some other type of software/image problem)

    The image I have loaded is x-Line PLi release 1.9

    Does anyone know of a fix or if I load a Kaos image from here if it will have the same features as my current image ? Most important is the Electronic Program Guide and the DVR features including nGrab

    Hope someone can help me with the problem ...

      The box is working well... Just that you occasionally reboot the box to clear all memory cache.

      Do you know that the box remember all your last seen channels? This took up memory space so you need to free up memory space if not, your box will be laggy.

      You need not go into setup menu, juz press menu then 5 then reboot.
