need info dreambox 500 c

i have a eurovox max v 2008, i am tempted to buy a dreambox 500c. could any of the members who have had expierience with both boxes point me in the right direction as to ease of use, futureproof, set up, and quality of picture iam looking forward to any replies i recieve...thank you. oh any problems i will meet if i buy a clone.

Hi mate I have had done a bit with both and I find the eurovox a lot easier to update maintain etc etc, but on the other hand if you know what you’re doing and got a bit of patience the dream box range is more better and will prob out last the eurovox line,
To update eusovox when they go down all you need is the null modem cable, the software and a pc with a 9pin serial port, it took me about 10 min to find the stuff i needed to do it and how to do it job done!!!!
To update my dream 500c, firmware is easy also, all you need is dream up software and your image that you want to flash, “similar to the eurovox” but when they go down you got to flash the fix in to the box, which gets complicated if you aint done it before, you got to connect the dream box up to your pc with the special network cable called a crossover cable.( Not needed if you go through a hub router) then you got to use filezilla to transfer you fix in to the root files of the dream box. Took me to long nights “about 14hrs in total” 3 keyboards and a new living room door :-) ha ha job done!
Also the dream box has got so much more to offer like video streaming with vlc from your pc to you dream box, internet updates (if you got it connected up that is) etc etc
