blackbox 888 no respond

Hi all,

I am a newbie to this forum. I have a problem here with my blackbox 888. Recently my box just died on me. My TV shows black screen no signal from box. The GREEN LED just stays solid on. Pressing the button next to it no responds. After 5 mins the green LED goes off. No more lights in the front panel. But somehow the back of the digital audio port got a little red light on.
What the problem with my box? Do i need to reload the img? And how do I determined which version to load in?

Try to install with with a new image. If it still doesn't work that mean the box is faulty already. Got to buy new new.

I couldn't connect to my box. Previously when it is working I could connect it to my PC, but apparently I forget the IP for the box. Is there anyway to hard reset and what is the default IP. My remote control is not working and same goes to the front panel LED button.
Problem still stays the same, doesn't change the GREEN LED upon switch on, and black screen no signal.
But I have notice somehow there is 2 - 3 tiny LED inside the box next to the CF slot. Upon connect my UTP cable these 3 tiny LED lights up and ocanionally it blinks.

ANyone able to advice if I am able to connect to my box?

Does your computer detect your box when you use dreamup? If you are able to coonect to your box, then should able to flash image into the box.

The only method to reflash yr box now is by using dreamup program and a null modem cable. Take note, all yr settings will be lost once flash and u need to start from scratch if u did not make a backup.

U can start reading the sticky red thread. You need to reflash yr box in order to remove the pin lock. Once reflash, u need to use dreamboxedit to transfer the sh channels, install softcam via online if the image still supports online downloads and transfer yr keys & roms files to yr box using an ftp program.

nobody will have the pin except the owner who create & flash the image to your box.
