Recently i bought DREAMBOX 600 PVR SAT OR CABLE /NEW

Now what to do in order to watch movies and pay per view movies? American,European, channals,sports and etc. with out the SAT Dish.

Or what is the difference Between watching and programing with SAT dish? and the difference with direct to plug the box to my cable?

Cable TV is much easier, the Satellite side is a little more complicated.

There are already a few tutorials on this site explaining the setup, have a search

You can either modify your existing image by adding a few files to the box or you can download and install one that's been pre-configured for use on UK cable. Using a pre-configured image is the easier route but you will still need to connect it to a PC via FTP in order to send some files which will be used to decode the channels.

All the files are available on this website or we have links to them on external sites.

BTW, what tuner did you get with your Dreambox, you will need the cable tuner for cable.

I live in SWITZERLAND and i am wondering if you could provide me a bit more details how to go on with the BOX.

The paperwork info given in the box just tells you which 3 tuners are available to have fitted inside your DM600 when you buy it, what does it say on your invoice/receipt/paperwork? for the one you have purchased or ask the seller if its Cable,Satellite or Terrestial.
Not sure but it may be written on the dm600 somewhere but I don't own one.

Looks like you got a DM600s .
it says you can alter it by buying a cable tuner which will replace the sat tuner ( plug and play , like a PC card ).

My advice would be do a lot of reading first so you get a better idea how these work.

Then invest in a crossover cable, and a null modem cable, you will need them at some stage.

Download, programmes like Dream up, Flashwizard Pro, Flash FXP, CoreFTP, DCC ( dreambox control centre ).

Then you will need an image that you will flash onto your box.

all these files and stuff can be found on here or in the download section.

the first time you flash an image ( and i suggest use Pli jade ) you will only be able to get free channels.

Thats when you need to learn about how to FTP to the box and add the magic files.

Yes you are right it`s Dreambox 600 S for Sat.But if i change it to 600 (C) would things be easier?

I also bought one 500C for cable open already configured.I can watch channals max 300 channals. Most channals complaning cant not find the sender and also the picture Quality is not that good.

How can i add more channals in my Dbox500C?

And is it possible to copy the files from Dbox500C to 600C when i change it from (S) to (C) ?

If yes, how do i do that?
