Hey I just bought a new dreambox since my last one died. I plugged it in and it turns on but none of the channels are working. I am guessing this is because I have to somehow configure it to my settings. I used to get my service from someone locally who had a server. I also have a backup image file of my previous dreambox. This new one is the exact same as the old one. My question is: If i just flash this new box with my backup image using dreamup will all my channels start working again or do i have to go through the guy who provides me the service?

If you had a cable dreambox then the key to you getting pictures on that box was a file called CCcam.cfg which can be found in /var/etc
If your old dreambox is dead and wont start then you are ~~~~ed.
All you can do is contact the guy who gives you the service and tell him you bought a new dreambox and need the files for it.
Looks like more and more "traders" have figured out how to extract the RSA and BK and have setup servers.
Hopefully it might come public. -
