    Hi poppyjack,
I am real new and also trying to use MGCAMD as a client. I found this thread that is helpful, I think:

My problem is that I screwed up the image my box came with, Allrussian, which had MGCAM. I have a Nemesis image on and cannot seem to get MGCAMD to show up in the Softcams (Blue button).
Can you point me to info on how you got your MGCAMD installed?

    Thanks,
    Rick

FTP to your box and to add your c:line go to var/keys and open newcamd.list to add your c:line in there. If u need any further help just give me a shout. Cheers, Rob

If you cant find mgcamd in the emulators on nemesis image then do a manual install. Google enigma2mgcamd1.35.ipk then you ftp that to tmp and manual install through either blue button or file manager. Personally i dont use edge nemesis so im not sure exactly but it is usually blue button manual install or file manager manual install. Good luck mate, cheers Rob

Thanks rob. I did that. The ipk file was found in my /tmp folder and it seemed to install fine. Also the config .ipk file seemed to install too. But after it disappears from the /tmp folder it does not show up in Softcams, in blue button.. I still only have the DCCam in the list, even after restart. I do not see it in plugins either. is there somewhere else it is listed after an install?

I found the Allrussian image, which I lost due to a upgrade to orginal image. If I cannot get this to show up on Nemesis, I will resort to Allrussian.
Is there another image I should be using as a noob?
One that works without tuning it, and will work with mgcamd, with out a doubt?
          Thanks,
          Rick

Yes thanks, I would like a link to the domica image. I will give it a try. I am not sure how to see what loader I have. I will google that process when I get home today.
I am assuming when I get a working mgcamd up I can just put my config files in from my DM500, replacing the key files I get from the domica, right?

Forgot to mention that my clone is a DM800HD SE.
              Bought this week.

It depends mate where you using cccam on your dm500 or mgcamd ? Mgcamd does need an mfg_cfg file but that is usually made when you install the .ipk. All you need to do is open newcamd.list with wordpad or DCC then add your c:line to where it says CWS =
Ok I will try to find you a domica image for the DM800HD SE clone as I have a DM800HD PVR PRO which is sim 2.01. I know domica does an image for clones and originals but it depends on the sim and bootloader your box uses as you dont want to flash the wrong image and end up with the dreaded NO CA FOUND ERROR. Boot up your box and it should say on the lcd display what sim and bootloader it is then I can find you a suitable image, just googled your box and it is sim 2.10 not sim 2.01 so i will look for sim 2.10 domica image, if it exists . Im still confused as to why the manual install didnt seem to work....it installed successfully but it is not in the softcam or plugin menu ?

Found openpli for your box and it has mgcamd included i will pm you the link as im sure you cant post links to other sites on the open forum. Still looking for domica for sim 2.10

Hehe. I already learned the hard way about the NO CA FOUND. I only had the box on for 10 minutes, when I click on updates found, click ok to upddate. Dead after that. So I quickly learned about how to recover from that! I have only flashed with patched images, and have not known that I need to also do the ssl82 boot loader. I will look at the display to see if it is there. Is it anywhere on the system information pages?

I have mgcamd running correctly on the DM500 (not clone)I also have the mfg_cfg from the 500, but figured that the one on the domica image would be fine and not need to be replaced. I will just edit the list file as you say, if I get it to load.

yes you will need to edit the file as im sure the mfg_cfg will not work on your new box as the dm500 is enigma 1 and the dm800hd se is enigma 2 thats why you have to install the enigma 2 mgcamd.ipk. Did you get my pm ? Im sure your box will be ssl82 if its a new clone and the links i sent you through pm are for 2 different images (openpli and domica) both have the patched drivers and mgcamd already in the image. Did you get the pm ?

Google nemesis extra url. After installing the extra url, u can install mgcamd via the blue button.

This worked for me. I got it working in Nemesis.
I will try the other images soon. I am just happy to get the DM800 working.
                              Thanks for all the help.
