no channels

Just got a new dreambox and set it up. done a scan and all channels appear to be there, but only shows the usual channels.
A friend said that the recent image might be scaled down so some files may be missing e.g. emu file. tried to revert back to
Gemini 3.20 uk modded.fw2 image but could not flash through dream up. could anyone assist.

Hi sabba,
When you say the usual channels are you referring to Free to air channels like BBC1 etc,and no premium channels like Sky Sports 1 etc, ?
Personally, i would again try to flash the box via dreamup with a image like either DK1.1 or DW2.1 as these have the Emu onboard,all you will need then will be the updated roms and keys.
And you will be up and running.
What happens when you try to flash through dreamup, are you making sure the dreambox is not powered up while you connect via the null modem cable ?
Once you have connected the Null modem cable (no power) hit connect, then when prompted,plug in power to dreambox.
this should then ping the box and say dreambox is alive and talking to us :-)

Download and flash with dk ver 1.1 image then follow these 2 threads........

sabba follow daz's instructions then try this when asked flash erase click NO after box flashed
ok exit turn power off on box leave 30secs turn box back on
let box load may take 1or2 mins,bbc1 press ok channel guide
scroll down to ssp1 press ok blank screen leave for 30secs
box will tune it's self

Cheers Mate done what you said and can now get All channels. Now I just have to figure it out how to get them into some decent order.
