dream box 500c set up guide

just got dream box 500c i understand how to flash the box. But have checked all the guides an cannot get my head around how to transfare my image from laptop to box. have never used ftp before waiting on null modem cable coming can someone give me an idiots guide on how to transfare image and what is the best image to use

You use software called flashwizard pro.

Input your dreambox ip and user and password. This should be root and dreambox.

Open up flashwizard pro locate image and let it transfer to the box then hard reboot box.


I don't know what you are going to do once box is flashed because unless you have a server to connect to then you wont have any pictures.

as keano said use flash wizard pro, easy to use and takes about minute to do, null modem cable is still handy to have though.

Im new to dreambox, just moved to sweden and have been hearing alot about it. can someone give me a idiots guide
