DM600 How do I get Gemini 4.60 running auto . . ??

I am trying to get a gemini 4.60 image to update and run automatically.

So far:
used blue button to install evo2.17
ftp to install terr file and rom7
have set camd.cfg to AU = 02 to auto update

but cannot get the box to find it's own keys.

when I ftp keylist over from my other box it works fine

but, if I delete the keys, the box won't find them itself...

it's my first time to try a gemini image and they seem to come without some stuff included, so if anyone can tell me what I am missing I will owe you one . . . cheers

Copy the files in the keys folder to /var/keys.

Copy all the .bin files to /var/scce.

Reboot the box using the 'reboot now' option in the shutdown menu.

but it stills isn't clearing automatically.

this box is on evo2.17, my CLi box is on evo2.14

I have the evo2.14 tar.gz file, how would I put it into the Gemini image to get it working

I have tried putting it into tmp and then maually installing it thru the menus, but it doesn't show up in the softcam menu . . . .

list the files you have in keys file?

you can load new cams thru the menu/addons off the gemini site
i use older ones with no probs have mgcamd1.28 &
evocamd1.08.
mgcamd good for getting loads of keys when they upc mess with the roms and you can figure out what the real one should be

it won't grab keys itself
but, if I ftp in the keylist.txt from my other box it works fine on evo2.17. So something is missing that lets it work automatically. The CLi image must have it already in there as all you need to do with that image is pop in the new rom7. Maybe I should copy over some files from the CLi image on the working box and see if that works. What would you suggest. cheers, bud. btw, I am not pointed at Bloom, I am looking the other way..

You need a script to run a softcam in gemini usually called xxxx_cam.sh in the var/script

Got it goin . . . .

well it's working fine at last,

Gemini 4.60 for 600T-PVR.

I installed the files as in Devilfish's post above
rebooted
blue button downloaded and installed mgcamd 1.31
selected and started it in softcam setup via blue button
cleared itself starightaway.

must be just that evo 2.17 isn't able to update and clear.

I will try some other softcams and see which work and which don't...

using tuxbox to have a look around I noticed that the keylist.txt in var/keys is empty, but box working, found the keys in Softcam.key . . .

they're rom7 bud, I will try evo 1.08 and let you know. . .
