Use the web interface to create the mount, much more stable.

used the webinterface and think it worked ok.
it now shows the mount as mounted with a green tick in the webinterface.

But, can't find where to start the recording on the box,
using gemini image and can't find it in any of the menus.

          any ideas...

Not used a Gemini image in about 4 years .

I'm sure you can press the green or yellow buttons while you're on an epg page and that will set a timed recording but not sure how to actually start the recording on your own using the remote.

You can use the web interface, I'm sure there's a red circle record button somewhere.

              yeah, that works

funny that it isn't via the remote, must need a plugin or something,
              I'll have a look around......
