newbee with 7025+ and compleate numpty

have had a 7025 since 2nd dec 08. never worked. only ftv chanels tried flashing box with new image.no change. have read stickies till eyes fell out. figured IQ lower than shoe size (9.5 )
copied rom 7 to vars, keys, + any where else anyboady recomends.
Has any one got a SIMPLETONS guide on how to get the 7025 working?
eg which image
where to get it
what roms
+anything else i will need
Know you guys have done this before (and are probably board of it) but am getting quite degected and about to give it up.

What have you dvbc dvbt dvbs or mix?

heres a quick guide
I would flash with the gemini image first.
once you have gone thru setup press the blue button then select the plugins / addon button then download evocamd / mgcamd.
next put the latest roms in var/scce folder & keys in var/keys folder.then press the blue button change common interface to evocamd or mgcamd then press restart cam

Hi,

I have a 7025sc so will guide you through how I set mine up.

I use gemini2-320-dm7025-200712181818.nfi as my image. I know more recent gemini2 images for the 7025 are available, and they do have now and next (unlike gp2 3.2) however the full epg does not seem to populate without flicking over each channel, whilst with 3.2 it does. Personal preference though, you can use any gemini 2 image you want.

Tune stations in, I take it you have managed to do this judging from your first post.

Blue panel-> Addons-> Download(from gemini server)->Cam->Add latest mgcamd

Blue panel-> Addons-> Download(from gemini server)->Cam-Configs->Add mgcamd config

Blue panel->Goto Selected camd (left,right) and move till Camd at top of the screen shows MGcamd-1.xx

Goto Start/Restart Camd and hit OK

Put nagrarom7.bin, nagraram7.bin, nagraepr7.bin into /var/scce/

Put AutoRoll.Key into /var/keys/

Tune to "Sky Sports 1" and wait 30-90 seconds and you will get a picture. A Softcam.Key file will appear in /var/keys/

If you are still having problems try rom10 or rom11 files. Also make sure you have the latest ones, the files got updated in December after a VM manouever.

Once working you may wish to try MGcamd ver 1.14 (my fave) as with others I seem to have freezes. Though not available through the gemini server no more, I have a tarball I use for the install. The reason I suggest you stick with the latest MGcamd though to start is that it it finds keys faster.
