    dm500 whats the fault?

    Hi all,
    i will explain immediately my so call problem,
    I got a DM500S with "the GP" inside plus some cam (MgCamd 1.31) and a monthly subscription from a server just to try it out.
    My problem is that although the router (Netfaster IAD2) gives internet directly to the receiver through cable, the dm500 stops receiving it after a while, or starts to freeze and un-freeze the image shortly until the LAN led on router goes off completely.
    I am guessing that one reason might be a bad image.
    Or something with the settings?
    Or seems like the network overloads the receiver???
    Don't know...
    I have tried with dhcp on and with static ip as well. the same result.
    In case of a bad image, what do i have to backup from the current image in order to use it later???

    3 days of madness here...

          Ok noted, is there another way to test it (or another free server)?
          I am worried mostly because the led on router goes off completely after sometime and that i guess is not server's...
          And among others i cant connect through flash xp...
          Or sometimes connects but not showing folders.

              you can back up your box with dream up , or using telnet as per the stickies. Might be worthwhile trying the pli jade image
