encrypted channels - please help

    DM500 encrypted channels - please help

    After hours on end reading through posts i still cant get sly sp1, 2 or any top channels, this it what i have done -
    Uploaded DK 1.1 with dreamup
    Copies keys & roms recommended in a post
    chmod both keys / scce to 755
    cam is enabled
    rebooted
    left on ss1 & ss2 for a long time

    Still only fta channels

    I read that people are enjoying the channels so there must be some way to do it.

    I am in the uk too

    Any help would be appreciated

      If you are in uk, what you are doing won't work. You need to get set up on server

          hmm he did mention cable ? sat would be easier if he had a sat box?

              So how do i set up on a server, is that changing the frequency etc...

                  After reading alot of posts / comments i am starting to realise that but just forked out for this brand new and dont want to give up without a fight.
                  Lady on phone could'nt say too much but i think she was trying to tell me sat was easier.

                      M8 you will not get any "good" channels on cable using a dreambox anymore. The keys and roms are from when they used Nagra 1 but they now use a more secure system called Nagra 3.

                      The only way you can get to see channels is if you connect to some one who is running a server with a real Nagra 3 card in their box and this is very very slim.

                      The problem is to get a card to work in your dreambox you need to know the boxkey and the RSA key of the card and getting these is not public knowledge at the moment.

                      In a nut shell you are stuffed unless you can find some one who is running a server but be warned it is not a good idea to connect to payservers.

                      I suggest you google cardsharing to find out more.

                          most of the info is public, google will throw up all sorts of info and for you
