Im desperate for help. Got a new DM 500C from China and I just cannot get it to work properly. I have flashed with the latest image from Digital Worldz and have entered the new codes but all im seeing is the programme schedules with no picture or sound. I have flashed and reflashed but still no picture.
Any suggestions would be most helpful

ok m8 do you have fta channels i mean like bbc 1 and that? if so is it the " other channels" you cant get?have you put in the magic files ?wot image are you using?

have you installed the new rom7 into the box with ftp
have you restarted the softcam via the blue button while on a premium channel...

If you can see the EPG details then you are receiving a signal, so the tuner is working.

If you can see BBC1 etc then all you need to do is copy across the updated ROMs.

Have a look in the STICKIES for a complete tutorial.

Folks thanks for the replies....much appreciated...

Basically Im using the Digital Worldz V2.1 image and I have flashed the box twice now at this stage. I can see some FTA channels like Euronews and soem free Irish ones but all I can see is the schedules of the rest.
I have FTp'd to the box and put on what I think is right but im not sure if I have the right rom7 file. I havent restarted with the blue button on a preimium channel - what does this do ??
I thought I had the updated roms on the box but im not so sure now...
Im new to all this ...where do I find the stickies area.

have a look at the tut

install new rom7 to the box via ftp

restart softcam via blue button, evo 2.12 press OK to restart

or just pull the power to the box and then back in

should clear channels in a couple of minutes.

Yeah I've been having the same problem - I had no idea about the whole rom7 thing so i'll be looking in to that now -

you don't need to delete them. You should ftp the new roms (7, 10 11) and replace/overwrite the old ones.
I don't know what image you are using but make sure you overwrite the roms in the scce folder too.

hey..thanks for that...im using Digital World 2.1....is that all i need to do as its driving me mental at this stage......

I would suggest using the DK 1.1 Image really stable and works really well on Both C and T Dreamboxes, I used to use the DW image and it used to hang and do strange things on reboot.

Once you have done that scan for channels, see if you get all the transponders and channels,

There will be a few FTA channels that you should be able to view, After that all you need to do is install the roms and restart the Cam, On The DK Image this is accessed by pressing and holding the INFO button.
