    Can't FTP DM500C

Hi guys, I have a 500C which is giving me some grief. I am able to flash to it using a null modem cable and have installed the Digital Kaos v1.1 Image. The image works fine and I am able to do a scan but without being able to view channels other than free view. I know that I have to make some changes via ftp but am unable to connect to the box. I am using a cross over cable direct to my laptop and I have double checked the ip and dhcp settings but still no luck. Can anyone possibly supply me with a fully working image complete with keys for the uk? Or possibly advise on any possible fix for the ftp problem? Thanks in advance. By the way - great site!

    Do you have a router

    Hi G-Man

Have you got a broadband/router? if so go through the router with a straight cable NOT cross over. This is the easiset way to FTP.

Have you fixed the ip on the box? if using cross over it needs to be in the same range as you laptop. If using router it needs to be in the same range as router.

also make sure there's a light inside the box (on the right hand side looking from the back) when you plug the ethernet cable. It happened to me that the ftp didn't work because the cable wasn't properly plugged in.
      Hope this helps
