DM500 Green flashing light, Cooked power supply!

For all those who experience a green flashing light on there Dreambox, I had this & after educating myself on DK with the support of andy91, we finally discovered that the power supply inside the box had cooked as did the power supply.

This happened because I had mine on a shelf high up & the feet had fallen off so no air was getting to it to cool it down, raise it higher from its shelf/cabinet to allow plenty of air to get to it, can't say it won't happen but it will help.

After changing both the power supply & power inlet on the box I now have everything returned & we have peace in heaven.

I also realised that I don't have control of my own destiny & understand that I have a lot more to learn, but that without help & assistance I would have probably thrown it in the bin last week.

Thank you DK for being there!

Thank you shadyback for calming me down!

    and

Thanks to andy91, I owe you one!

dreamboxes are well known for overheating and suggested a laptop cooler to use, there should be photos in the archives of cooked boxes.
