hi people im new to this and would like to give it a go myself i have looked all over the site found lots of information this is what i have got DB500C null modem cable on way,flashfxp ,keys,roms. is it as simple as replacing files with the new ones using fxp ? if i get it wrong could that be the end of the DB. if there is anything else i need please could you send me in the right direction thanks

Just replace the roms. Also if something does go wrong just reflash the box using dreamup and a null modem cable. You cant really break the box as such.

confused which cable do i use to connect the DB direct to pc is it the null modem cable or do i use a different cable thanks

you won't need that mate, the firmware/image flashed on the dbox will do the business.

the card is redundant.
