Scart Lead

Just want to hear peoples opinion on the best scart lead. I currently have a super cheap 97 pence scart lead going from my dreambox to my new TV. I have always had a little buzz coming from the TV and Ive always guessed its because of this cheap thing but Ive learned to live with it.

Time for a new scart lead. Whats the best?

buy good quality scart i have even paid e60 for a 2 metre one,also a surge protector and coaxial protector and if ur coaxial is old replace it .u go out and buy a new tv and forget the important things.better stuff less problems,

I have found that gold plated RCA audio video leads give a better signal than scart.

I used to have a buzz on the right audio channel until i upgraded to DK 1.1.

I laugh when i see the monster cable and the gold plated connections, In my opinion its all sales hype, I install and run huge pa rigs and typicall use stranded copper cable, sometimes in excess of 1 KW per cab stack, use fairly good connectors and generally hand make the leads, although i have a number of cheep scart cables, buzz is generally ground loops between devices, and seem to be more common with devices using switch mode power supplies, if you have your dream box left on a video or dvd player try putting some cardboard or a towel between them, if the buzz goes away u need to isolate them, of course do not leave the towel there, as it will build up heats,

I use the philips gold plated ones from ASDA they work a treat and are not silly money.
