I think a list of supported sellers and companies to stay away from would make a useful sticky in this section and stop this same question being asked several time after this post drops off the first page.
Digital Kaos itself will not endorse any particular seller. Should your deal go pete tong then the matter is purely between you and the seller. We cannot be held accountable for any issues you have with a seller or their products. We will help you get it up and running once you receive it guys...

Should any member wish to recommend a seller that they have had good dealings with then that is solely their opinion and you take the risk of using that seller yourself.

Should you have a bad deal or be unhappy about it in some way then contact your seller and resolve the issue with them as best you can. DK is not a customer services and slagging off sellers is no help and will more than likely get deleted.

I recommended this ages ago here at the end:

I know DK cant endorse anyone. However a public vote/rank with constant written opinions could help new people and stop all this "where you recommend I buy etc.."

agreed. a formal opion that represents DK isn't what is needed. But a general concensus on people opinons of the various sellers would definitely help us noobs out alot. I am sure it would boost forum subscriptions and reduce spam as well. The hardest part about this whole process for me was choosing the box and more importantly the seller. Who knows if 1 seller is seen to "rule them all" you may be able to set up a nice advertising deal/discounts etc for directing so much buisness to them.

Agreed and in my opinion DVB Monkey are cr@p - unworking box received eventually and ZERO customer support.

          Stay well clear

            DVBMonkey!

I'd just like to add that I ordered a 500C from DVBMonkey 10 days ago and it arrived today.

I had read a couple of posts about them saying they were ok but somehow missed the bad one's and was furious with myself for not reading more and missing the bad posts.

Fortunately as I said it arrived today
Hav'nt tried it yet but the quality seems as good as my original 7000S & 500S.

Maybe they are getting their act together!

              WARNING about DVB SELLER

              Hello everyone,

I would like to offer a warning about dealing with DVB Seller in China. (Some may say if you deal with sellers in China you get what you deserve but that?s another issue). I ordered and eventually received a Dreambox from them. However it was faulty and I believe the tuner wasn?t working. DVB Seller told me to take the motherboard out and send it back to them and they would replace it. I sent it (international tracking) and they twice refused to accept delivery consequently it was sent back to the UK. When I have contacted them they have just given me excuses, when they have eventually responded. I am particularly frustrated because initially the unit wasn?t working, they promised to put it right, I had more expense sending it back to them and DVB Seller clearly never intended to honour their promise in the first place! I will never trust them again, it?s been an expensive and time consuming exercise. Beware!

(Please note I have posted this in another thread for advice, so this post is for information only)

Hello, I am having problems with DVB seller now, I purchased six boxes (Dm500s) from them over the last four months. One box did not work when I plugged it in first time, would not pick up about 60% of channels on 28 east. The image that was on the box was not the normal image, so I thought that it was a return. I flashed my normal image and it was still faulty.. I returned the box to them four weeks ago and can not get a reply to my Emails. Three of the other boxes tuners have packed in and one power supply has gone faulty. So out of six boxes I have only one working. Never again will I buy a box from China. In future I will pay an extra few pounds and buy in the UK.
