    Dreambox satelite v cable

    IH there

Can i use my dreambox (satellite) to view programs via my cable provider (Virgin).
Or would this kill my dreambox.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Also how do I install picon on my dreambox please.

you want uk preimum channels? get cable
you want access to most 3pm kick offs, get sat.
you want choppy breakup sky premium channels. get sat and a c/s

this is not the place to talk about the ins an outs of card sharing but satellite will bring greater rewards long term and my sat is not blocky or choppy cable will probably disapear later this year

you told me your sat was blocky and choppy!
cable may well dissappear for a while later in the year, but dreambox is linux based and no doubt a fix will appear.
other than greater access to ~~~~ what other aspects of sat make it better than cable?
btw 3pm kick off can be watched for free on any pc so ur not having that one!

If cable goes the same way as satellite and a hack doesn't come out right away, cable will go the cardsharing route too.

yeh probably m8 will mean the end of the eurovox starview ect though unless they make a linux version

sorry to butt in, but are you saying that the efforts i have made in getting this eurovox ex5000 ( a new disovery for me) working will be be wasted this year??????

well, look at it this way:
lets say cable goes off in june.
you will have had access to premium package + ppv events for 6 months. now figure out the cost of paying for these services for 6 monthsm, if it is more than the cost of ur box, then it wont be wasted money will it?
