DM600 How to you install a Cam / Emu...?

I am trying to install evo 2.14 into gemini 4.60 on 600T.

I have evocamd214.tar.gz & evocamd-config_2.14.tar.gz
I have put both into tmp and used mabual install to install them, it says they have installed, but evo214 does not show up in the softcam selection. I must be missing something.

I have tried them as .bz2 & .gz files, they install as .bz2, but not as .gz. even though dowloads from the gemi ni server are tar.gz files. evo214 is not available from the downloads menu on gemini.

I have mgcamd 1.31 working on the image and would like to get evo214 working also. I would also like to know and understand how to ftp and install emus/cams...

Here is the files for evocamd_2.14 from the Gemini website.

Do a manual install with this.

try this
delete the other evocamds via addons manager
ftp this one to temp and manualy intsall

thanks guys, these worjed a treat, so what was I missing I wonder. Can someone explain please the difference between a cam and a cam config, in a download menu for example you will see both, are both needed together or just one, which one . . .

Incase you have set your config file up to control your cam in a certian way..

Then you can update to a newer version of that cam without having to set a specific config again.. it'll just update that cam version and keep your orignal cams config

Mostly used for cardsharing when you have your config file loaded with lots of your own info and want to update the cam version without erasing the current config

how to install camd3 on dm500

I try to install camd3 on dm500 after that box stops working!
if any has a suggestion it will be helpful
