what type of box

My box was sold to me a year ago as a dreambox, I would like to verify this before I try to connect it to my computer,I assume it must be a clone if it is a dreambox. It is silver 20x13x4cms the front has a card slot, an on/standby light and a DVB logo on the top left of thebox, or is there a more technical way of getting the info. thanks

It will almost certainly be a clone. Post up a picture and should be easy to confirm. What image is on the box? When it boots up what does it say. Google dreambox and you can see what they look like.

I think the image is neutrino but thats all I really know I am a total novice but would like to get the DK stuff on the box as I think it would be the right place to be should any major changes take place

if it has a neutrino image it will be a dream or clone dream. agreed that you should learn as much as you can about your box so that you dont have to rely on anyone else.

lots of info here and once you know how to ftp (red sticky has an easy tutorial) to your box its pretty simple stuff.

check the mac address I'm pretty sure all the clones have the same mac address, or at least a hell of a lot of them do.
