The only people that would bother to do this is Team Gemini, who are, IMO, a bunch of pr1cks anyway.

Doesn't really matter though as the important thing is the EMU's.

I think the bootloader has a bomb in it that will screw up your clone dm800. But it won't render it useless, a reflash will get it back running again.

There are clone safe images I think.

yup, clones wont work on any image based on cvs date later then august 2008. at least I beleive thats the date.

you'll have to goto a very old image, or see if you can get your money back.

the problem is clones dont have the dreamcrypt card installed inside them.

I'd tend to go with Devilfish's opinion.

I have a friend with a clone 800, he is on a card share and is doing perfectly well.

I will check with him to see what image and what CVS he is running.
