dreambox 500 suffering from a slow death?

Hello

I got a genuine dreambox 500c and slowly the channels are becoming blocky and Im not recieveing a good signal. I have checked all the connections and they are fine (they worked before). Is the tuner just shite?

Any info would be great.

(the more bad news the better, then I can get my openmedia 500cs box that I have my eye on, haha)

bad weather?...even if the signal is good it can drop data due to weather changes...test it on a still day.

Mikey how slowly is slowly?

Perhaps its worth doing a bruteforce scan it may be slight adjustments in the transponders?

Going to flash it when I get the chance.

Slowly as in every few days it seems to have less viewable channels (get an error message).

Flashed the dreambox. Channels are working again, Got the usual problems of the scan not picking a few channels up. Do a few more scans over the next few days. Thanks for the help
