Problem with the DK1.1 image on DM500-C

My DM500-C arrived from dvbseller.com today, everything was fine and dandy until I flashed it with the DK 1.1 image. Now it seems to be in a constant reboot cycle. The DK logo shows up for a few seconds and then it just reboots.

Any advice on what I should do? Cheers.

I was sure I did. Perhaps It's cause I used DreamUpLan instead of Dreamup. I suppose I'll have to buy a null modem cable from the store.

Just curious, but i've heard that official DB images now brick your DB. Does this also apply to Dreamup and firmware?

The DK images won't brick your box.

AFAIK, the dream multimedia images don't either, unless they've released a new version.

Just checked...last firmware release was 2006 so no, they won't brick your box.

You can get a null modem cable from ebay for ?2.

What image was on the box when you got it? If it was a gemini image, chances are that it's a MAXVAR image and that is different to the DK image so that's why it will be in a reboot loop. You would need to reflash with Dreamup anyway so a null modem cable is always handy.
