need a services.xml file for ch**us mmds, can anybody help?

hi guys, i recently bought a blackbox 500T for a ch**us mmds terrestrial setup (im in kildare) anyway i scanned and got the channels ok but there are quite a few missing including bbc1,bbc2,utv,channel4,sly sports2 to name a few. at first i thought it may be a signal issue so i brought box to my neighbours house and scanned there and still cant find the channels. this is really strange because i have setup alot of these mmds boxes and never had this issue, so im asking if anybody has a fully functional 500t box working can you please upload the services.xml file for me so i can get the last of the channels im missing

also i would be interested to know if anybody knows a reason why im not picking up these channels, maybe the terrestrial.xml file i used to get the ch**us scanning options is out of date?

maybe ch**us have shuffled around their channels and frequencies?

would love to hear from you

    cheers

    Monty

there has been issues with the tunners of the clone 500t's for a while now if you are missing channels its because of a hardware fault there is a weak spot on the tunner you can use a different downconverter a if622 will bring the channels in at a higher freq and you will get everything then

        thanks for the replies guys

glic where can i get one of these if622 downconverters and how much am i looking at? are they easy to install?

will it involve me getting up onto the roof to attach it?

say i got a working services.xml file and uploaded it, would i still not have the channels?

        cheers for your replies

mate scan the freq 266000 and see if you get any extra stations if not then buying a new aries or downconverter wont help as the problem is in the tuner in the box.

it will give him the extra channels as the if 622 downconvertor will bring in the channels on a higher freq so instead of it being 266 it will be on 722,all the channels will be on a higher freq, you will need a different terrestrial.xml also

                      tmontana,
if I ever get the service file out of my 600T I will send to you, just can't find it bud. I could get you one from a clone 500t but it would be missing the channels,
please list all the channels you are missing. The old clone t problem missed 4 channels, bbc1 bbc2 ch 4 & utv. They are on the frequency as explaned by the guys above, if you are missing more than that, then it is a worse or different problem. I am curious about this issue appearing on a Blackbox as the Chinese suppliers are promoting the Blackbox over the 500T at a slightly higher price, because they say it has a new genuine tuner and gaurantees no missing channels. I would send it back for a replacement. We have got some 500T's from dvbseller recently and they were 100%, no missing channels.

thanks for the replies guys, i still havnt got the downconverter although i think that will do the trick

just had a lengthy conversation with a board member on msn and he tells me that the downconverter will get me the missing channels

the channels im missing that i know of are bbc1,bbc2,utv,channel4,sky sports 2, there maybe more

@ desp dan, thanks for the file, ill try it

i dont really want to send it back to china because the postage will be expensive and i run the risk of the replacement being the same.

Glic83 is spot on with his answer! Some boxes have a dead freq band and getting the downconverter whick brings in freqs higher is the only way to fix this problem - as i have proven with his help!
